Voxare was awarded Chamber Music America's ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming. The quartet viscerally performs music from all genres, including from the traditional canon, classical contemporary, and even its own arrangements of rock and pop songs. Voxare's high-energy performance style draws full houses and receives enthusiastic audience feedback. Voxare's diverse and uniquely qualified members are enthusiastic about engaging communities. One quartet member has a doctorate in musicology, one in education from Columbia University, two members are former New York Philharmonic Teaching Artists, one is from China, and one from Russia. What does this mean? Voxare draws on unique educational, musicological, and ethnological backgrounds to connect with communities.
